Friends list takes too long to load

Hello contributors, Due to some changes in the code now Chatting page on this website does not loads the friends on first load, it needs to be refreshed multiple times, can anyone state the reason or fix it. it is connected with reactjs and nodejs.

Start at the Chatting page and trace the friends-list loading path across the ReactJS and NodeJS parts of the repository. Reproduce the first-load failure, compare it with repeated refreshes, and identify what prevents friends from appearing; done means friends load on the initial page visit without manual refresh.
