Description

Something that makes baking amazing in Marmoset Toolbag is the fact that you can paint a map so you can determine how close or far your high poly projects in your low poly. This is a Offset map. Also you can paint the normals directions that sometimes can mess the way your normals look. You can check out the feature in this video: https://youtu.be/vgNQ0TVoOD8?t=443

If you could add a feature like these, it would be amazing because currently only Marmoset Toolbag has it, and is a game changer. It reduces the time you spend fixing your mesh for proper baking and allows you to fix issues of the baking right in the texturing software, instead of playing with your meshes.

I hope this helps, I am not a programmer or anything I am just a 3D artist so I don't know how hard this is to implement hahaha.
Keep up this amazing work!

Research direction

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points; start by locating the existing texture-baking workflow and reviewing the linked Marmoset Toolbag example. Define the scope for painting offset and normal-direction maps, then confirm that both maps can influence baking as intended.
