Portenta x8 serial communication with other devices using breakout board

Hi Everyone,

I have an arduino portenta x8 along with a breakout board. I have been trying to connect other devices to the x8 serially with a breakout board, and have been unsuccessful. Furthermore, I am primarily looking for UART protocol communication.
I tried to include "Arduino_PortentaBreakout" library, but it can't work.
If anyone could guide me in this direction or list any relevant libraries that I'd be able to use, I would highly appreciate that!
