Description

As part of another issue I was working, I had the following observations:

"(3) Verified that the Library Manager malfunctioned when I requested that OneWire 2.3.3 be installed instead of 2.3.5 that was installed. The requested did nothing, and 2.3.5 was left in place, and there was no error message.
(4) Verified that the Library Manager malfunctioned when I requested that OneWire 2.3.0 be installed over 2.3.5: It installed OneWite 2.3.3 instead (which I really wanted in this case).

I'm a newbie, but a seasoned vet suggested I forward this issue to this location...

Research direction

Start by reproducing the Library Manager behavior described for OneWire 2.3.0, 2.3.3, and 2.3.5, checking both the requested and installed versions. Done means the requested version is installed, or an error explains why the request cannot be fulfilled.
