Fig. 1 image missing and image scaling issues

### Description

Major issue: The image in Fig. 1 seems to be missing (instead 'Refer to caption' is displayed).

Minor issue: When including multiple image files in one figure the width of the rendered images becomes the full text width instead of the intended width (e.g. Fig. 6). This is not the case for two-column figures, only for one-column figures (see Fig. 8)

revtex4-2 was used in two-column mode, pdf turns out fine.
