"\nonumnote" appears in formatted HTML, along with "\affiliation", "\pdfximage", and others

### Description

Footnotes that are not numbered, added with \nonumnote, result in printing "\nonumnote" in the formatted HTML. Similar issues for \pdfximage (used to add a supplementary PDF), and \affiliation which is used in many journal templates, as well as a custom command \coseniorauthors.

Perhaps relatedly, the \journal command (from an Elsevier template) results in very off-centered text that is usually in the footer of the PDF version.
