RevTeX \altaffiliation does not render correctly

### Description

RevTeX has an \altaffiliation[description]{affiliation} command that can e.g. be used to specify "Present address: …" for somebody who has moved. This does not render correctly; e.g. in https://arxiv.org/html/2503.16837v1, it appears at the top of the page, and the [] isn't parsed properly.
