Filter row count shown twice when filter is active

When the results filter is active, the match count (e.g. '8 of 9') is displayed both inside the filter bar and in the status bar at the bottom of the results grid. This is redundant. The count should appear in one place only, preferably the filter bar since that is where the context is.
