Description
Description
I am trying to do a page factory initialization for Windows 10 elements. However, when I get to the page factory section it will fail. Here is Part of the code I am trying to write:
@WindowsBy ( xpath = "/Window/Window/Button[1]")
private WindowsElement callButton;
public WindowsDialPage(WindowsDriver<WindowsElement> driver){
PageFactory.initElements(driver, this);
}
I also tried "PageFactory.initElements(new AppiumFieldDecorator(driver), this);"
I get the following error:
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Can not set io.appium.java_client.windows.WindowsElement field pages.sorenson.WindowsDialPage.answerIncomingCall to com.sun.proxy.$Proxy17

Research direction
Start at the PageFactory.initElements and AppiumFieldDecorator entry points, using the WindowsDialPage constructor and WindowsElement field shown in the report. Trace the org.openqa.selenium.support.PageFactory proxy assignment that produces the IllegalArgumentException across the listed Java client versions; done means the Windows page-factory behavior is explained and a supported initialization path or confirmed incompatibility is established.
