ASF Board of Directors Timeline broken

The design of [the _ASF Board of Directors Timeline_ page](https://www.apache.org/history/directors.html) seems quite amazing, but that design is wasted by clipped labels. The start of the name of several directors, such as Christopher Schultz, is invisible on my Windows 11 install, whether using Firefox 150.0 or Google Chrome, regardless of the zoom level, as the following shows:

There is also a huge empty (white) vertical space below the bar chart. There are no JavaScript errors.

Open the ASF Board of Directors Timeline page at apache.org/history/directors.html and inspect the timeline's layout and styles in the www-site source. Reproduce the clipped director labels and excessive vertical whitespace in Firefox or Chrome on Windows 11, then verify that labels are visible and the unused space is removed without JavaScript errors.
