API access broke recently with basic auth

I have some local scripting in place that uses the API. This broke recently.

Codex says that asfquart silently skips Basic auth without the `asfpy[aioldap]` dependency.

Start by reviewing the API authentication entry point and the change referenced in security-dash pull request #18, then reproduce the failure with the reported local scripting setup. Check how asfquart handles Basic auth when asfpy[aioldap] is unavailable; done means Basic-authenticated API access works again or the dependency requirement is clearly surfaced.
