Description
I've have experienced and am still experiencing intermittent problems posting a message using Ponymail interface. I have noticed recently that one of the mails that is not posting has a blank subject line and I checking my Spam folder and found a qmail response message saying that blank subject line postings are not allowed for Ponymail.
When using the ‘Reply’ button to respond to an existing thread, the subject line is automatically completed, but for some reason when using the ‘Reply’ button on certain messages the subject line is left blank.
These are the steps I used
- I logged into my Ponymail account
- I located the thread that I wanted to respond to
- I clicked on the ‘Reply’ button next to the thread
- A blank subject line is displayed in the response
When using the ‘Reply’ button to respond to any other message on the same mailing list, the subject line is automatically completed. The blank subject line is only happening with one specific message.
I have come across the issue again and have taken screenshots of the thread that is is happening on.

Thanks

Research direction
Start by reproducing the reported steps in the Ponymail interface, focusing on the Reply button for the message that produces a blank subject. Trace the reply flow and compare it with a message where the subject is populated. Done means replying to the affected thread fills the subject and allows the message to post.
