Improve Date Picker

The date picker's UX is a bit weird. If you could on something other than the input controls, the window disappears.

It works fine on the advanced screen, its only an issue from the search menu's Date Range option.

Reproduce the date picker from the search menu's Date Range option and compare it with the working advanced screen. Trace the search-menu date-range entry point and identify the behavior when clicking outside the input controls; done means the picker remains usable there without changing the advanced-screen behavior.
