remove duplication of samples and modules

The new index page has module and sample information but we have separate module and sample pages.

Could we consider options like:
* maybe formatting the module and samples pages with the new style and then removing the content from the index page
* removing the module and sample pages and copying over the remaining content from the separate pages to the index page
* keep 1 or other of the separate module and sample pages but remove the duplicated info

We can live with some duplication for a while. Just don't want to keep it indefinitely.

Compare the new index page with the separate module and sample pages to map the duplicated information. Decide which page should be canonical, then confirm that the chosen pages retain the needed remaining content without indefinite duplication.
