Recursive Thrift Data Structure

Thrift recently introduced recursive nested data structures. As I want to store them in parquet, I get an exception: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/35702623/parquet-recursive-thrift-data-structure

Is it possible to store recursive data structures in parquet?
