Create project roadmap

There are a number of ongoing threads of work affecting various parts of the architecture, enhancements to the api, and ongoing kube/means enablement and plugins for various data stores, logging and metrics frameworks. We can also augment this with ongoing work around tooling, package integrations, and runtimes.

We should document these more formally and centrally under a roadmap; to give a better visibility into the work and to inform the community of what’s ahead.

I will start working on this and solicit help for an initial draft. I will communicate this through the dev list as well.
