Research direction
Start in the Fonts & Colors options and C/C++ project reopening flow, comparing how settings are recovered between NetBeans 26 and 29. Reproduce on Windows 11 with JDK 25 using the listed steps; done means C/C++ appears under All Languages and default or customized colors are applied after reopening the project.
