Description

### Apache NetBeans version

Apache NetBeans 17

### What happened

I am [working on a project](http://enso.org) that follows [Google formatting rules](https://github.com/enso-org/enso/blob/ed3f9b306e14bc25691a04f5948a5a0ae3842d54/docs/style-guide/java.md?plain=1#L43) which prescribe two space indentation. I can set that up in NetBeans, but how am I set that up in VSCode extension?

I found `Netbeans › Format: Settings Path`, but I have no idea what to put there? I tried to export some settings from NetBeans into ZIP file and use it, but that doesn't work. Is there any documentation to follow? Shouldn't such documentation be linked from the setting itself?

### How to reproduce

_No response_

### Did this work correctly in an earlier version?

No / Don't know

### Operating System

Linux

### JDK

JDK11 or JDK17

### Apache NetBeans packaging

Apache VSNetBeans for VSCode

### Anything else

- #5556 may be related

Research direction

Start with the “Netbeans › Format: Settings Path” setting and related issue #5556, then determine how the VSCode extension currently handles formatting settings. Done means users can configure two-space indentation and find documentation linked from the setting.
