Deployment descriptors doesn't show GUI views

OS: MacOS 12.3.1
Netbeans version: 13

Deployment descriptors doesn't show GUI views. For example, in my workspace, opening the grassfish-web.xml shows the GUI views, but opening the web.xml file only shows 'source and history' views. The icons in projects section also look different, where when I hover my mouse over glassfish-web.xml(in Projects screen) it shows "sun-* Deployment Descriptor", but for web.xml(in Projects screen) it shows "XML Document". Both files were created using Netbeans wizard screens.
