Hello

One have build a specific maven plugin to implement the functionality of the Maven Shade Plugin but without including the transitive dependencies. Producing a shaded jar without the transitive dependencies would interest people since this kind of request appears many time on StackOverflow, hence this teature request.

Research direction

The issue provides no files, tests, or entry points to inspect and only describes a broad Maven Shade Plugin feature. First clarify how transitive dependencies should be identified and excluded, then locate the relevant shading and packaging paths; done should mean a defined option produces a shaded JAR without those dependencies and has coverage for the intended behavior.
