Description
**[mike duigou](https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/ViewProfile.jspa?name=bondolo)** opened **[MDEP-588](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MDEP-588?redirect=false)** and commented
Optional dependencies can be manually excluded but it would be useful to be able to omit them without having to specifically reference the artifacts by name. An "omitOptional" defaulting to "false" would suffice.
