https://maven.apache.org/extensions/maven-build-cache-extension/build-cache-config.html#projectversioning defines `adjustMetaInf` as "Determines whether version in metadata must be changed according to building project version."
It's not clear what this means, and how it differs from `calculateProjectVersionChecksum` which is defined as "Determines whether project version should be included to calculate checksum input."
I understand what `calculateProjectVersionChecksum` means, but I'm not sure about `adjustMetaInf.`

Research direction
Start with the projectversioning documentation linked in the issue, reading the definitions of adjustMetaInf and calculateProjectVersionChecksum together. Clarify what adjustMetaInf changes and how it differs from checksum calculation; done means a reader can distinguish the two settings without additional context.
