As certain features are only supported since a specific archetype-plugin version (e.g. ARCHETYPE-494) it would be nice if the Archetype Descriptor would allow to express a minimum required version of m-archetype-plugin.

Research direction
Start by locating the Archetype Descriptor definition and the code that reads or validates its plugin-related metadata. Review the existing feature referenced by ARCHETYPE-494 and determine how a minimum m-archetype-plugin version should be represented and checked. Done means descriptors can declare that minimum and incompatible plugin versions are handled correctly.
