Download button does not 'begin download' [LUCENE-8690]

The download button on the page

does not behave as the text suggests.

It requires several more clicks before the download can start, and the user has to decide which link to click in the directory listing

I'm not sure it adds any value to the page.

The corresponding Solr download page does not have the button.

IMO the button should be dropped; a single button can never start a direct download as there are two binaries.

The existing binary links could be turned into direct download buttons if required.

Start at the download page named in the issue and compare it with the Solr download page, which reportedly has no equivalent button. The work is complete when the misleading single download button is removed or the existing binary links are changed as explicitly decided.
