Description

To make our community a better one, we would like to change the project name from Fescar into Seata.

We’d like to express our sincere gratitude to the community members for your continuous attention and contribution. We are happy to announce that till now we have nearly 7,000 Stars and 51 contributors. And the numbers are still growing.

The TCC model was added to Fescar version 0.4.0 which is contributed by Ant Financial. In order to make our community a neutral, open, and ecologically diverse one, we would like to change the project name from Fescar into Seata (Simple Extensible Autonomous Transaction Architecture) after the discussion among our core members.

Among the candidate name list, we’ve chosen Seata, hoping to achieve the goal of applying our solutions to all distributed transaction business scenarios and making distributed transactions as simple as local ones. The project will transfer to github.com/seata.

We warmly welcome developers who are enthusiastic about distributed transactions to join the community and bring your imagination and inspiration to Seata.

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are named in the issue. Start by verifying whether the announced move from Fescar to Seata remains outstanding, then identify the repository-wide rename scope and migration checks. Done would require the project identity and GitHub location to be consistently updated.
