In IDEA 2022.1 and later legacy Grails projects should be recognized by IntelliJ and the IDE should suggest to download/install the plugin for support

The removal of the Grails support as subsystem from IJ and into a plugin is understandable. However the fact that IntelliJ does not realize that a project is a Grails project and suggest to install the Grails plugin is not. There are those of us that unfortunately need to continue to use older, non-Gradle, versions of Grails and it would be preferable for the IDE to suddenly not support those projects without guidance or user Googling as to why.
