splash art causes unhelpful error traces

# Bug Report

## Problem
As of today I cannot add platforms, build them or do anything else with Cordova I always get this no matter what command I'm using:

### What is expected to happen?
Platform should be added along with the plugins.

### What does actually happen?
Command launches but errors mid-way resulting in a corrupted install.

It just started happening today semi-randomly.
