Research direction
Start by tracing how the `-v git:BRANCH` option is parsed and how the current repository and branch are selected for cluster creation. Check the existing handling of C* forks or mirrors and define the expected behavior for an arbitrary repository and branch. Done means a functioning C* repository and branch can be used to create a cluster.
