### Describe the enhancement requested
pixi is a very nice tool that offers support for binaries like conda, but adds the lockfile as an added feature, making it easier to have reproducible builds.
It adds in support for tasks and has really good performance. It might be a nice usability upgrade over conda, if it could be replaced in a feasible way
