Description

I am trying to setup my config file to use the latest commit hash, but when I try to run the 'absorb' command, I get the 'GitTagNotFound' error. I tried the fixes in #48, but they did not do the trick.

Research direction

Start by reviewing the configuration and reproduction described in the issue, then read issue #48 for the attempted fixes. Run the `absorb` command with a configuration targeting the latest commit hash and compare the result with the reported `GitTagNotFound` error. Done means the command completes without that error.
