Clicking outside the `root` div requires an explicit focus by the user on the search bar to be writable again

The search bar should have focus at all times. The goal is to avoid using the mouse to interact with the app. Check the gif below to understand the issue better.

I think adding a listener to `body` should fix it, but I am not sure it is the best solution.
