Submission pending review since 2026-05-29 (~3 months) with no status change: whatsapp-claude-channel

## Timeline

- **2026-05-29** — submitted via the plugin submission form. The submissions page has shown **"Submitted and pending review"** ever since — just under **3 months** as of filing (2026-08-25).
- This was itself a re-submission: an earlier directory entry for the same plugin had been auto-unpublished on 2026-05-12, and I re-submitted after restructuring the repo into the single-plugin root layout.
- No email of any kind at any point — no acknowledgement at submission, no approval, no rejection. The plugin does not appear in `.claude-plugin/marketplace.json`.

## Self-checks already done

- `claude plugin validate .` passes locally against the repo (`✔ Validation passed`), so it should clear the automated validation the docs say the review pipeline runs.
- The repo is public and the plugin installs cleanly today via
`/plugin marketplace add Rich627/whatsapp-claude-plugin` → `/plugin install whatsapp-claude-channel@whatsapp-claude-plugin`.
- It's not a category exclusion: the catalog already lists several WhatsApp integrations admitted after similar review (`claude-channel-whatsapp`, `whatsapp-mcp`, `wu-whatsapp`).

## Relation to existing reports

This looks like the same silent-stall pattern as #1716 (pending since 2026-07-01) and the intake-wide observation in #2370 (no new plugin admitted to the catalog since 2026-08-07). My data point extends the reported timeline back further: a submission from **2026-05-29** — before any of the cases collected there — is in the same indistinguishable "pending" state, with the same absence of any notification.

## Questions

1. Same as #1716: is there an expected review timeline, and is a submitter notified if validation/safety screening fails — or can a submission stall silently in "pending review" indefinitely?
2. Given #1716's experience (a second submission on 2026-08-01 also stalled and can't be withdrawn), is re-submitting ever useful, or does it only create duplicates?
3. If anything about this specific submission is blocking review (e.g. the earlier auto-unpublished entry, or the repo/marketplace layout), I'm happy to fix it — I just need to know what it is.
