Description

**Description**
While using the Claude app on iPad, I composed a prompt intended to add to a "guidelines" file used across projects. The iPad app indicated it would apply this once I connected to my Mac.

I then connected my Mac's Claude Code session to my iPad via Remote Control.

**Bug**
After connecting, the iPad Claude app appeared to lose track of the prompt (became confused about it), and the Mac Claude Code session had no record of the prompt at all - it didn't know what "guideline" was being referred to, and the original prompt text was not retrievable from either device.

Additionally, the page/conversation in the iPad Claude app where I originally entered the prompt is no longer visible, available, or findable at all - not just the prompt content, but the entire page itself is gone.

**Expected behavior**
Either the prompt content should transfer to the connected Mac session, or it should remain intact and accessible on the iPad regardless of the connection. The originating conversation/page should not disappear.

**Actual behavior**
The prompt was lost entirely, with no way to recover it, and the originating page is no longer findable. There was no clear indication beforehand that connecting would discard unsent/unsubmitted input or the page itself.

**Impact**
Data loss of user-authored input and the conversation page itself, plus unclear UX around what "connecting" a mobile session to a Mac session actually does with in-progress work.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the flow between the iPad Claude app and the Mac Claude Code session using Remote Control, focusing on an in-progress prompt and its originating conversation/page. Done means the prompt and page remain accessible or transfer to the connected session, with clear notice before any input is discarded.
