Description
## Bug: Previous work sessions no longer appear (with mapped project folders)
### Description
I had approximately 3 previous work sessions in Claude Code (desktop app), each with a mapped project folder and files generated during the work. Today (2026-09-14) I noticed these sessions no longer appear in the app.
### Expected behavior
The previous sessions, with their project folders and history, should remain visible and accessible in the sessions list/sidebar.
### Actual behavior
Only 1 session besides the current one is returned when listing sessions (including archived ones). The ~3 work sessions with mapped project folders do not appear anywhere.
### Steps to reproduce
I did not identify any action that caused the issue — no app update, account switch, or manual cleanup was done recently. The disappearance was only noticed today, when trying to resume the work.
### Environment
- OS: Windows 11 Home Single Language
- App: Claude Code (desktop app)
### Impact
Loss of access to work sessions with generated files and associated project context.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the missing-session behavior in the Claude Code desktop app on Windows 11 with mapped project folders and archived sessions. Compare the session list with the user's expected history and collect relevant app logs or storage details. Done means previously created sessions reliably appear and remain accessible in the list.
