not possible (or not clear) how to use the gce plugin in oslogin enabled project

I managed to create a VM with the plugin in the project with has the oslogin enabled, Now I cannot log in. My understanding it's because the ssh keys in metadata are ignored in such case. Is there anything I can do?

At the moment, I run it from my local machine, long the test should be run github action.
