Description

Description

Using OpenCode Zen free models (tried Muse Spark 1.3 Free, then MiMo V2.5 Free after waiting and other free models too).
Getting:
Free usage exceeded, subscribe to Go
retrying in 6h16m - attempt #1

Waited the full ~6 hours, tried again on a different free model, and got a longer wait:
Free usage exceeded, subscribe to Go
retrying in 20h28m - attempt #1

Plugins

None

OpenCode version

1.18.31

Steps to reproduce
  1. Use a free Zen model until quota is hit
  2. Wait for the stated retry window
  3. Retry with either same model still blocked or switch models and hit the same error with a longer countdown

Research direction

Start by reproducing the quota exhaustion with the listed OpenCode Zen free models, then trace the handling of the displayed retry timer and model switching. Confirm whether the countdown and escalation originate in OpenCode or the service response; done means the behavior is understood and the retry window is handled consistently across free models.
