Description

@OpenCode I was Working on a Gnome Extension Project and later decided to take some rest , so i turned off my pc and when i restarted it and went to work with Opencode again , I saw it kept saying 'Error from provider (Console): OpenCode 1.18.0 or newer is required to use the free tier' even though it was already updated to the latest version

Research direction

Start by reproducing the reported flow: restart the computer, reopen the Gnome Extension project, and connect to the user’s LLM provider. Check the installed OpenCode version and the provider error shown in the issue. Done means determining why the free-tier check reports version 1.18.0 or newer as missing when the latest version is installed.
