Description

Description

OpenCode has become noticeably slow to start over the last couple of weeks.

Environment

  • MacBook with M5 chip
  • Only one MCP server configured: Chrome DevTools
  • No additional plugins

Issue
Startup now takes around 5–20 seconds.

Current version: 1.18.25

I don't remember the exact OpenCode version where this started, but the issue appeared roughly two weeks ago and has persisted across the recent versions.

Given the minimal setup, I don't expect MCP or plugins to be causing this delay.

Would appreciate help identifying what might be slowing down the startup.

NOTE: This isn't a duplicate of #19197 that was for version 1.3.2 of Opencode (I never faced this issue with 1.3.2 on M5 Macbook)
