Description
Feature Request
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
opencode is a powerful AI coding agent, but its terminal-first UX is a barrier for less technical users who are used to GUI products like ChatGPT or Kimi Work (e.g. the desktop app with a chat window, file browser, and browser automation).
Users coming from those products expect:
- A visual chat interface that is easy to navigate without knowing keyboard shortcuts
- Familiar interactions: point-and-click, visible buttons, clearer message bubbles
- Lower-friction onboarding for non-developers
Describe the solution you'd like
Continue improving the Desktop App / Web UI as first-class interfaces that mimic the interaction patterns users already know from ChatGPT/Kimi:
- A polished chat window with clear message layout
- Visual file/project explorer
- Guided onboarding for first-time users
- Discoverable buttons instead of only keyboard shortcuts
Additional context
This is more about "friendliness" (友好度) than raw capability — the underlying agent is already good. A gentler UI would help non-developers and newcomers adopt opencode.
Environment: Windows, opencode desktop app / web UI.
