Description
Feature hasn't been suggested before.
- I have verified this feature I'm about to request hasn't been suggested before.
Describe the enhancement you want to request
Expose an OpenCode-owned way to refresh a provider's OAuth credential without sending a model request.
Today xAI refreshes only inside its authenticated fetch wrapper. A plugin that needs a fresh credential during startup cannot trigger that refresh through the SDK, so it must either send a model request or duplicate OpenCode's refresh and credential-writing logic.
A small provider-owned refresh operation would keep token rotation and persistence inside OpenCode. It could be an optional auth-plugin hook exposed through the server/SDK, and should return status only—not credentials. Refreshes for the same provider should share one in-flight operation.
