Description
I'm not sure if this is a **bug, feature request**, or what. Here's the issue: regardless of what credentials I launch ipscan with (regular user, local admin or domain admin), all the openers execute as the regular, currently logged in user. This is despite the fact that the javaw.exe process **is** running under the appropriate credentials as launched. Is this an oversight or by design?
Yes, there are ways I could configure the openers to do what I want by making credentials parts of the execution string, but that's not an option since that data is stored in the registry as plain text (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JavaSoft\Prefs\ipscan\openers).
I do have other admin tools that store creds securely, and it would be nice if ipscan did that. But I really don't care whichever fashion this could be accomplished, either by running openers under the launched creds or storing creds.
So, I'm curious if this can be fixed, or added? Maybe just a checkbox in the Edit Openers windows saying something like "run under current credentials"? That said, it isn't a huge deal to me if this can't be done - I'm just throwing this out there. I've scripted a workaround for myself but it'd be nice if AIP handled this nicely.
Thanks!
