Reproduction steps

Context: DAI VOD content with multiple midroll ad breaks each containing exactly two ads.
Play the content in question and observe the following odd behaviour:

1. The first ad, in the ad break, plays fine but then it is repeated with frozen ad progress label and when the repeated ad finish playing the second ad plays fine.
2. The first ad, in the ad break, plays fine but the second ad is "skipped" and regular content resumes.

Expected result

The ads play without any interruption and side effects.

This issue is sort of companion one to issue #1741 for which I sent the email with the steps on how to setup a content in media3 demo app. I'll try to send another email for this particular issue attaching a video sample that highlights the issues.
