Description

Version

Media3 1.3.0

More version details

No response

Devices that reproduce the issue
  • Pixel 6 Api 34 emulator
  • Google Pixel 6
(I assume it is reproducible on close to all devices)
Devices that do not reproduce the issue

No response

Reproducible in the demo app?

Yes

Reproduction steps
  1. Start playing the media.
  2. Let it finish, alternatively seek to the near of the end.

To better notice the situation, remove the formatting of the mediaPos variable so it instead returns the ms directly.

Expected result

state -> mediaPos from EventLog reports the duration of the media when state is ENDED, as this is the end of the media and should be constant for all tries.

Actual result

state -> mediaPos from EventLog reports different results all the time(although very close to the duration of the media) when state is ENDED.

Media

I've tried with Clear DASH -> HD (MP4, H264) and Misc -> Apple 10s (AAC), but I assume it is reproducible on close to all formats/assets.
