Open vision/final/app/src/main/java/com/google/codelab/mlkit/MainActivity.java and inspect lines 72–75, along with nearby references to those declarations. Determine whether the codelab needs explanatory documentation or a code change; done means the question about the lines has a clear, documented resolution.
