Can't use it with coffeeify

I'm trying to run [this code](http://pastie.org/9514092), based on this [react-quickstart](https://github.com/andreypopp/react-quickstart):

browserify = require 'connect-browserify'
coffeeify = require 'coffeeify'

if development
app.get "/assets/bundle.js", browserify("./client.coffee",
debug: true
watch: true
transforms: [coffeeify]
contentType: 'text/javascript'
extensions: ['.js', '.coffee']
)
```

But I'm failing with a compilation error: `Error: Parsing file /home/fiatjaf/comp/sheets/client.coffee: Line 1: Unexpected string`

Something strange is preventing `connect-browserify` from recognizing that file shouldn't be parsed as Javascript, but Coffeescript. What could it be?
