4tb mybook wdfjk0020hbk-04 please help!

i believe the power supply of my mybook 4tb has failed as it no longer powers on.

i've mounted it internally on my mac and it is showing:

so, to my question...

is the asmedia chip the one that provides the encryption?

is it possible for me to simulate this chip so i can get at my information?

i'm not a coder or programmer by any stretch of the imagination but can follow instructions very well :)

i have over 10 years of work stored on this HDD as i used it when moving between computers, any help getting back my files would be incredibly appreciated.
