Day selection lost on month/year change

Hi, I noticed with some user tests it's annoying behaviour: when I click on a day then I change month or year I loose the day choice, it's possible keep the day selected?

I have another issue too: The standard behaviour should be close the datepicker on day selection, am I right? Why I have to click on close button?
