Optimizer: Support for AMP email

Hi! Are there plans for the Optimizer project to support AMP emails as well?

We're exploring the possibilities of making it easier to create AMP email templates from existing HTML templates, and looking at the feasibility of using an AST-based transformer to accomplish this.

No files or tests are named. Start by reviewing the Optimizer's current handling of HTML templates and the AMP email requirements, then assess the proposed AST-based transformer approach. Done would mean a defined scope and implementation plan for converting existing HTML templates into AMP email templates.
