Description
I have a feature request for AltStore Classic via AltStore Pal. Not sure if I'm in the right place. But why not build something like LocalDevVPN directly into AltStore Classic (from AltStore PAL)? That would save you from having to use an extra app. AltStore could then manage the VPN itself and turn it on when refreshing, etc. And that would actually work. AltStore Classic from AltStore PAL is an app signed by Apple, so it can use entitlements like VPN and such—that would make sideloading much easier and simpler. SideStore would do that, but it doesn’t work because the app isn’t signed by Apple; they can’t integrate a VPN since the app itself counts toward the 10 bundle IDs, but AltStore Classic via PAL doesn’t. So what’s the problem with implementing that? That would be the next big step.

Research direction
No files, tests, or entry points are identified in the issue. Start by reviewing AltStore Classic's architecture and Apple's VPN and entitlement constraints, then determine whether the proposed integration is feasible and define the required behavior for managing and enabling the VPN during refreshes.
