Description

  1. I can't sideload apps. When I try to install them, they get stuck and can't go any further. One gets stuck at around 95% and one gets stuck at 25%. I've tried this at least 7 times and it's happened all 7 times.
  2. When I try to close out of AltStore after failing to install an app and reopen it, I get a popup saying "Altstore" is no longer available, even though I just installed/refreshed it a few minutes ago. Altserver is also fully updated. Then for some reason I can't install Altstore from Altserver unless I restart Altserver on my computer. But this problem happens again after failing to install an app.

These problems did not occur in ios 15.6. My device is the SE 3 (2022). I have it connected via cable and I have iTunes set to sync via wifi. If you could please help, it would be much appreciated.

Research direction

Start by reproducing both installation failures on an iPhone SE 3 running iOS 16.0, using the cable and Wi-Fi sync setup described. Compare the behavior with iOS 15.6 and inspect the AltStore and AltServer installation and relaunch flow. Done means sideloaded apps finish installing and AltStore remains available without restarting AltServer.
